Despite his young years, MG has been involved in the world of DJing for more than 10 years now.
It all started when he purchased his first Denon cd players at age 14, with endless practise he crafted his talent which then allowed him to enter the world of DJing, and it has been a wild ride ever since.
Starting off with local bars, student clubs and smaller events, DJ MG was slowly beginning to embrace the club scene, while improving technically as a performer. Eventually this led him to enter a local DJ competition held in the island’s capital in 2006, which he went on to win, despite being the youngest competitor.
MG went on to DJ with some of the island’s biggest and most successful brands and promoters, including Mix FM, DJ S7S, Mr. Montana, A.M. SNiPER and many more.
In time, MG got involved in a great number of club events, festivals and private gigs in Cyprus and the UK. Through these events, he has performed with a lot of important names of the industry, including: Chris Brown, Rick Ross, Memphis Bleek, Wretch 32, Fatman Scoop, Serani, Skepta, Stormzy, Krept & Konan, Wiley, DJ Ironik, Lethal B, K Koke, Sway, Charlie Sloth, Ms Dynamite, Chase & Status, Mistajam, DJ Luck & MC Neat, A.M. SNiPER, Young Guru, Krept & Konan, DJ Semtex and in addition hosted events with brands such as Sony BMG, Warner Music, Twice As Nice, Lick R&B, 3FIFTY7 (Official DJ to this day) and others.
In 2010, MG decided to move to the UK to continue his studies at university level. During his studies, he was approached by one of London’s most successful promotion companies, Mace PR. Through the successful cooperation of the two, MG performed in some of the UK’s most elite and prestigious clubs, including: Funky Buddha, Mayfair, Merah, Chinawhite, Holborn House, Notting Hill Arts Club, British Luxury Club, Dollhouse, Nuvo, Firehouse and many others. He has also hosted and DJ’d afterparties for various artists and celebrities such as: Tinchy Strider, JLS, Leona Lewis, Alexandra Burke, Pixie Lott, Simon Webbe, Ashley Young, Little Mix, Fazer and other known acts.
In January 2012, BBC 1Xtra radio, and the CJ Beatz show, gave him the chance to perform a guest mix and interview, which was then broadcasted online to an audience which reached thousands of listeners.
In May 2015, MG won the “This is Not A Drill” mix competition hosted by Pitbull, DJ City and mixcloud and got his mix mailed out to over 400,000 subscribers. Later, he hosted the guest mix for Pitbull’s Globalization show on SiriusXM which was broadcasted to over 28 million listeners in the US.
With his knowledge of R&B, Hip Hop, House, Garage, Old School or any other genre, his effortless skills on the decks and the connection he builds with his audience, DJ MG’s is a valuable asset to any club and event.
